6th Grade Project 2: Form Robots

6th Graders are currently working on robots made from simple forms.  They reviewed one-point perspective drawing on the floor and are now doing a more complicated version of the forms still-life they did in 5th grade.  Please ask them about their projects!  They are excellent!

5th Grade Project 2: Pastel Forms

5th grade students are completing a simple still-life using simple forms out of chalk pastels.  Ask your students to explain sill lives, the difference between shape and forms, and shadows and highlights.

Honeywell Banner Design Winners

Ten students were chosen to represent MIS in the annual Honeywell Holiday Banner Contest.  The 10 winning banner designs will hang in the Clark Gallery at the Honeywell Center from November 1st to December 2nd.   Of these, some will be chosen to be full size banners that hang on streetlights in North Manchester.  An awards presentation will be made in the Ford Theater at the Honeywell Center on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 with a reception to follow.   The invitation to the reception will be sent directly to each student’s home this year.  Congratulations to the students pictured here.  Row 1, 5th Grade:  Caleb Stout, Chase Poynter, Gabbie Brewer, and Isaac Cochran.  Row 2, 6th Grade:  Hunter Miller, Jirni Cripe, Carsyn Howard, and Caitlin Baker.  Not pictured:  Heidi Flick (5th) and Emma Burlingame (6th).
